Amid Megan Thee Stallion‘s performance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, the performing artist took the opportunity to call out the Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron, the New York Post reported today.
According to the outlet, Megan played audio recordings from Tamika Mallory and Malcolm X during her performance as a way of criticizing Cameron’s handling of the Breonna Taylor case. Taylor was killed by the Louisville police during a raid.
The clip featured Mallory saying that “Daniel Cameron” was the same as the “sellout negr*es” who sold African-Americans into slavery. The rapper went on to launch into her own speech about the importance of protecting black women.
Megan says black men and black women need to stand up for each other because the community is sick and tired of seeing hash-tags of the black people who are killed. As it was previously reported, the 26-year-old EMT was sleeping in her apartment when the police barged into the home and shot her.
Breonna’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired shots at the police as they came in and the authorities shot back, killing Taylor in the crossfire. Followers of the case know that the state’s first black attorney general, Cameron, has faced criticism for not charging any of the police involved.
One officer was charged, but only with wanton endangerment for the bullets that struck the walls of the neighbor’s home. Regarding Megan Thee Stallion‘s SNL performance, the rapper managed to stir controversy for other reasons.

For instance, social media users had a hard time believing that her foot had healed already despite allegedly being shot by Tory Lanez. One user claimed the story was obviously a lie because no one would be able to dance, however, another person argued that she was clearly favoring one foot over the other.

Tory Lanez also addressed this idea on his latest album which was released on Soundcloud, DAYSTAR. The rapper suggested on one of his tracks that it was impossible for someone to get shot in the foot without hitting any bones or tendons.
