He grew up in the same place and played basketball in his hometown. He did not go far when it was time for him to attend college, he stayed close to home and played ball for Michigan State. His birth father is Wallace Davis and his mother is Mary Babers. His parents did not work out and his mother married a man by the name of Raymond Green, with whom he took his name. He comes from a very large family with two brothers and three sisters. One of his brothers, Torrian Harris, actually played ball for Nebraska for two years.
Throughout his career as a basketball player in college, he also played for the Michigan State football team. He was in a game for two plays during 2011, but he ended up decided to focus on basketball instead. He’s been really well-received since he began playing ball in San Francisco, choosing to live outside the city rather than in an expensive apartment in San Francisco. He chose a smaller, more modest dwelling outside the city explaining that he has been pretty poor most of his life and he’d rather save his money and never deal with that again. He is a Christian man, and he has donated more than $3.1 million of his earnings from endorsements and other ventures to his alma matter so that they could build a new athletic building as well as provide scholarships to athletes who want to play ball but cannot afford to go to college otherwise. He’s a very respectable young man, and his career is only just beginning.
